A whole-home cabinetry project in Carmel Valley, San Diego — a light oak SieMatic kitchen with book-matched stone surfaces, a sculptural bar with smoked glass vitrines, and a paneled media wall with a floating concrete hearth.
Project Overview
Light Oak, Quiet Luxury
This Carmel Valley residence carries one warm material language through the main living spaces — handleless light oak SieMatic cabinetry balanced with crisp white uppers and veined stone surfaces. The kitchen centers on a generous island wrapped in oak with a floating stone top and a ribbon of integrated lighting; Miele ovens and refrigeration disappear behind full-height paneled tall cabinets.
Off the dining area, a dedicated bar pairs a black stone counter and backsplash with a full-height smoked glass display cabinet and integrated wine refrigeration. In the family room, the same oak paneling wraps a media wall and conceals storage, anchored by a board-formed concrete fireplace surround with a floating hearth bench.
